Educator for eight years for Lodi Unified School District.
Specialized in Broadcasting, but also taught Multimedia, AVID, English (9th CP, Honors, Transitions and 10th CP and Support), and Drama.
Twenty-eight year stretch as a television news photographer, both on staff and as a freelancer, at stations in Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay area. One year stint as a production manager for a cable company, overseeing a small staff and creating local programming.
I’ve worked with everything from Auricon, General, and CP16 film cameras, run processors, editing both single and double system sound to 3/4, Beta, and DMCPro gear (shooting and editing).
Stations I was employed by (full time) include KXTV (Sacramento), KQED (San Francisco), KTXL (Sacramento), and KOVR (Sacramento). Did stints part time and on-call for KTVU, KCRA, KRON and others both in news and community affairs as well as freelancing for corporate clients (Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical, Weight Watchers camps for youth).
Still production photographer/production coordinator for a management consulting firm in Sacramento(Management Services Company). Coordinate team of artists, photographers, writers producing AV programs for USPS. Still production photographer.

I continue to do workshops for RTNDF (Radio Television News Directors Foundation) at STN (Student Television Network) and NSPA/JEA conferences (began in 2006).
I’ve coordinated and presented workshops for SFBAPPA for professional video & print photographers (Willie Kee Video Boot Camp).
Lead Ronald E. McNair High School’s team in the 48 Hour Film Project (2008-2010).
Summer digital video workshops for San Joaquin Delta College Kid’s College.
4H volunteer for 20 years.
Co-author of Distant Thunder, a book of recollections of Lodi-area military veterans.
